Megvannak a papírok!

RECONSTRUCTION OF THE TRAINING WORKSHOP

Our main objective is an operable training workshop. Items in need of reconstruction:

  • Reconstruction of the building

  • Modernization and enlargement of the training facilities

  • Renewal of the electric cable network

  • Renewal of the brewing machines and equipment, building a new, cost-efficient, energy-retrieving system, adjusting brewing technologies to present day production conditions

KEY AREAS OF RECONSTRUCTION

During the past decades the coverings have deteriorated and are ready to be changed. One of the most important criteria of a food industry facility is its microbiological sterility which cannot be obtained if coverings are cracked, broken or have missing parts. The old and broken windows and doors need to be changed as well. The staff room have to be mentioned too; its furnishing and equipment reminds you of the 80ies.

The theoretical training at the moment is confined to a small, badly-lit, noisy room, which is furnished with old-fashioned furniture, lacks modern facilities and equipment and loyally follows the changes in outside temperature. The present location has to be extended by opening the wall between this room and the one next-door. This way it will be possible to educate bigger groups or give lectures to parallel courses (students from Bercsényi, or other professional training or higher education courses). Moreover, we have to create the possibility of taking part in audio-visual and other electronic-based presentations. Classrooms, besides theoretical education, should also function as rooms for presenting fermentation technologies and miniature equipment.

The electric cable network is old, overloaded and is unable to serve even the actual needs of present-day technology. Its full renewal is crucial not only for today but also for fulfilling our long-term goals.

Controlling and tracking the process is a primary requirement for a good production practice, because without these it is impossible to maintain good quality, problems and faults cannot be explored, and appropriate solutions to these cannot be found. It is most important that the students understand this idea, develop an efficient problem solving capability, understand the concept and use the steps of process control.  In order to meet this objective the training workshop has to be capable of using these systems and methods, thus there we have to be able to record and register all the parameters of the process in order to make them traceable. Beside, we have to cut down on the energy use of the workshop by implementing energy-retrieving systems well-known for the industry, and by optimizing the energy consumption needed for the cooling process (leaving out chamber cooling for example).

HOW ARE WE GOING TO CREATE THIS – PRIORITIES, STEPS OF IMPLEMENTATION

Although we have put tasks of reconstruction into four groups, we need to handle those as a whole. The primary task is to plan or to have the technology planned. For this investors are to take part in an invitational tender, with who we would agree upon the needs of the training workshop, the designers ideas then work out the future technology itself. This would include the refurbishment of present equipment, the termination or re-planning of current technology and its units, and placing new or altered equipment into the system.

The renewal and re-planning of the electric cable network of the training workshop should be tailored to the needs of the plans, so those who undertake this task can plan the new system with the future energy needs of the workshop in mind.

After these steps we will be ready to move on with planning the reconstruction of the building itself, and thus we will be able to present the possible contractor with a specific idea (the future plot), that incorporates changing the surface covers, the windows and the doors,  opening a new classroom and renewing the staff room.

The construction works of course start from backwards; the renewal of the electric cable network being the first, followed by the reconstruction of the building and ending with the renewal of the technological system. The whole project have to be adapted to the academic schedule of the school, its breaks and holiday periods.

From the possible constructors those with the best reference work, with the highest inclination to co-operate, with the most creative ideas will be taken into consideration, not leaving out of consideration the guarantees they undertake and the price range they work at.
